ABOUT ALIRA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Alira Behavioral Health was created to reimagine how women receive emotional and mental wellness support during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. Rooted in maternal mental health expertise, our virtual women’s wellness practice serves women navigating postpartum changes, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, trauma, anxiety, mood instability, and overwhelm. We exist because traditional systems often fail to meet the unique needs of women—especially during critical transitions like motherhood, identity shifts, hormonal changes, and life stress.
OUR VISION
We are not a one-size-fits-all clinic. At Alira, we offer trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and faith-friendly care—rooted in compassion, connection, and clinical excellence. Every client receives a personalized care plan built by a dedicated team of experts who understand the layered experiences of womanhood. Our one-provider care model simplifies the treatment process, builds deeper therapeutic relationships, and reduces the overwhelming shuffle between specialists

MEET THE FOUNDER
Alira Behavioral Health was shaped not only by clinical experience, but by lived understanding. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner and founder, Laywell Tedoe has witnessed firsthand how fragmented and dismissive mental health care can be for women during periods of medical, hormonal, and emotional vulnerability. Her work is grounded in the belief that women deserve care that is thoughtful, trauma-informed, and responsive to the full context of their lives, not rushed, minimized, or reduced to symptoms alone.
